Can I tell you about ...my trip to Milan. I go twice a year for this leather exhibition called Anteprima which showcases leather and colors for the next season. This season it was earlier than usual which is why I missed fashion week in New York. I always go a few days before to soak in the atmosphere, shop the stores and see what people are wearing. It's always interesting because Milan, like New York, is such an cosmopolitan city that it's hard to tell if people are tourists or locals. I spent one day taking snapshots of all these people and it was kind of nervewracking because I was trying to do it paparazzi style and the results are not always so successful. Bill Cunningham, I am not. But I suppose I did okay.

While in Milan, I always make a pilgrimage to the Marni outlet. I adore anything by Marni and usually get pretty lucky at their outlet. For anyone who doesn't know the address, here it is: Via Tajani 1. This is an ultimate fashion insider secret I'm sharing because the salespeople at the main store don't like giving the address for obvious reasons. Go at 10 am when there isn't a crowd. After lunch the place is packed!

Another one of my favorite places to hit is the molto, molto chic store/bar/restaurant/book store/gallery/hotel called Corso Como 10 ( that's also the address). The place is always packed with fashionistas mulling about too, shopping or doing their market research. It's a really well-edited store and they usually have some amazing store exclusives that designers do just for them. I wish New York had a store like this. But some things can only work where they are and it's a good reason to keep coming back to Milano. Va benne!

Oh. My. God. Who is that man in the black t-shirt?!?! I'm moving to Milano. Now.
You take fabulous photos. They are really good.
I've heard so much about this Corso Como store. Will have to make a mental note next time I'm in Milan. Thanks for the Marni outlet address. Another one to take note of. Actually I'm writing it down for keeps. Great photos by the way.
Great pictures, darling.
BTW, the "call me" guy is HOT!
I really would love to know how these Italian women can walk around in high heels (and sometimes even on cobblestone streets!) all day long. Hmmm...can 3" heels be that comfy even if they are Italian-made? Or are foot spas at the corner of every strada?
I found this blog from your comment on the Sartorialist. My goodness, how do you find the time to blog? Love the photos, can't wait to read more!
i love your blog! interesting stories and i like your prospective of writing.
you know, i've been looking for a nice men's carry bag that's is the size of w or v magazine BUT with short handles. i think long handles make it little girly. black, simple, minimalistic--can't find it. i've only seen it on fashiony japanese guys around and i think they got them in japan, not there. hopefully, that might be an idea for you.
check out my blog when you get a chance...
Corso Como. I know ot too. For me the most overrated place in Milano. Average italian food, too expensive, not worth the money. The CD compilations in the store are nice!
But for me most impressing:
Too much to thin people from the fashion business! Too much girls who are definately much too slim, it doesn't look good. It seemes that they eat close to nothing.
Who likes this super slimness close to illness?
these photos are fantastic. I like that some of them are not fashion related at all but just over all cuteness! can't wait to see and read your next posting. you have a great eye. makes me want to go to Milan pronto!
you must have a favorite restaurant in Milan. can you recommend one or two. you must go to some nice places after all these years of going there 2x a year. wow, that must be nice. planning to go with my boyfriend soon.
do you have other 'hot'photos you're not showing? please don't edit for our sake. that 'call me' guy is molto hot! RRRRRR!!!!
Here are my favorite restaurants in Milan: La Libera, Cucina della Langhe, Da Giacomo, Obika, La Brisa and Da Ilia. Bon appetito!
how fantastic.
I love it so much.
get me to Milano!
just found your blog surfing the net for your products. found some bags in Bloomigdales in NY. I'm from Texas, who carries you here? I may have to bite the bullet and order on line. Is the whole collection available? Love the pictures and your little tidbits of advice. don't stop now. I'll be logging on constantly, weekly? :-)
I actually never dine at Corso Como. I'll have tea or espresso but dining there once before I've been disappointed. Plus, because you can't smoke in restaurants in Italy, dining 'al fresco' in the courtyard isn't so fresco at all. Cucina della Langhe a few doors down is so much better. there's another concept store called TAD nearby that is quite nice but a bit of a destination.
found your blog through the Sartorialist. It's really great and I love your bags. I actually own several. I didn't realize you were doing shoes as well. Gotta have some of those booties!
are those marni bags in that first pic? they're gorgeous!
Hi Rafe! Gotta support my fellow PINOY! Take Care ♥
