Hot Chocolate

Can I tell you about...February Vogue? A few months ago we participated in a chocolate fashion show and we collaborated with uber talented chef Mehdi Chellaoui. He turned one of our hit bags of the season into chocolate complete with tassels and hardware covered in edible gold leaf. Well, it must have caught someone's eye at Vogue because all of a sudden he was requested to make 2 more for a photo shoot. Little did I know that one of my favorite fashion photographers, Raymond Meier, would be taking the photo. It's an amazing shot and I've already gotten compliments from fellow designers that I met up with at a recent CFDA meeting. For me, it's 2 dreams come true. First, I get a bag photographed by Raymond and second, I get a full page in Vogue. Unfortunately, you can't really order the chocolate version from me, but you can certainly score the original version which is still available at Neiman Marcus.

I was just looking at the new Vogue and was thrilled to see that amazing credit for Rafe! Vogue could have chosen any handbag and they used Rafe. Looks delicious!

here's another photo that needs to be framed on your wall and for anyone else who owns the bag, they should do the same. really cool shot. must have been a nightmare to do because those hot lights melts chocolate instantly.

Rafe, my compliments. You are really a talent and your destiny is becoming clear day by day: be the next guru for accessories. I could imagnine only a part of your happiness for the full page on Vogue. Now Anna knows exately who you are and I'm sure she will keep a special eye on your collection.

Thanks for your comments. The best ending to this story is that Raymond Meier just sent me a print of the photo. Of course it's already at the framers. It will be ready in 2 weeks, just in time for by birthday.
