Can I tell you ...about the clutches I made for Eva's wedding to Tony Parker. A couple of months ago, Eva Longoria's favorite stylist extraordinaire Robert Verdi called on me to design a special clutch that Eva wanted to give to all her bridesmaids. She wanted all of them personalized and in an anthracite color to compliment their red dresses. Now if you're familiar with our celebrity following, Eva's up there among our favorites. She's been photographed wearing Rafe bags way before I even met her in Miami at the MTV awards in 2005. Since then, she has been seen out and about wearing my designs.
I designed a minaudiere in snake skin hand beaded with smoke colored stones across the front. The bag has a drop in chain and on the chain I attached the initials of each bridesmaid plated to match the chain so they would dangle like little charms. Just to make sure Eva wouldn't get jealous, I also made an extra one for her. 
You can just imagine the amount of press we got for doing these bags for her. Robert said she really loved it and so did all of her bridesmaids. How could they not, that bag is fabulous! Check out all these: WWD, USA Today, Gone Hollywood, Celebwarship, Celebspin.
This bag is due to launch to the public end of October, just in time for the holidays. We're not starting a wait list to my knowledge but we've already received a lot of inquiries so we may inevitably have to because I'm only producing a limited quantiy. Patience, patience my dears. Good things come to those who wait.

Though it makes me lament that fact that every time I have been a bridesmaid, all I have received is some bad gold jewelry and such...there has never been a fabulous bag in the mix.
I need to start being bridesmaids at celeb weddings...it's the only way to go.
I read this in WWD, the bags are so, so, gorgeous. What a great bridesmaid gift, so versatile too, the girls can totally wear it with a pair of fab jeans and top. I am jealous, I just have a collection of bridesmaids gifts of cheesy jewelry - banned far from the light of day. Fantastic work by they way!

OMG, what a coup!! Congratulations. The little clutches are amazing.
N.B.: I only stayed about 10 minutes for the Chinese opera. The visual spectacle was amazing but it's slow moving and like you mentioned, an acquired taste.
Nonetheless, I'm glad I got to see it.
